Boot is a young white & tan male with an easy care slightly curly broken coat. He is about a year old - perhaps a bit less. Boot is 14" at the shoulder.
Boot came into rescue as a stray from the Portland area. He is very immature and will need an adopter who understands how to work with a slightly ADD young terrier. He gets along well with other dogs in an off leash setting, but is leash-aggressive & gets over-excited easily when parameters are placed on him. He NEEDS those parameters and he will need obedience training and a reasonably firm hand. He loves people and is highly affectionate, but he is slightly mouthy, and this too will need work. He is not completely house trained and his crate training could also use some improvement. His temperament is excellent, but I don't think anyone ever expected anything from him before in the way of minding his manners. Think adolescent PUPPY ! He will become a very nice dog in the right home.
Boot is currently being fostered in Tenino, Washington. His adoption fee is $150.
Rating: needs experienced adopter who knows how to work with a pushy young dog. We will give preference to a home with another friendly dog for him to play with.
