Don’t Miss NY Demonstration to Bring Bruce Home and BSL
Dear Friend,
You may have heard about his plight! Bruce who was on death row has been spared death for now in Northern Ireland but because of his breed his chances are not looking good. The worldwide campaign to bring Bruce home is gaining momentum and here in New York we need your help for a special event to raise awareness of his plight plus the campaign for the Breed Specific Legislation BSL ordinance that the New York Housing Authority enacted last month which banned many different breeds from its public housing. We want New York City to realize that we will not allow BSL to take the lives of our animals and we will be armed with educational tools to spread awareness about these ignorant and vicious laws. We need volunteers to hold signs and pass out leaflets to inform everyone of this hideous ordinance plus we intend on highlighting Bruce’s plight with a touching candlelight vigil. Please take time out to join us for this lively peaceful event.
Posters and leaflets will be provided, so just bring yourself and anyone you can recruit to join you. Please contact me, Caroline Rothwell celtic266@aol.com to RSVP or for more information.

Please cross-post this e-mail message on Facebook, Myspace, and any other social networking site and forward it to others who might be interested in standing up for Bruce and other dogs of similar breeds. Bruce was scheduled to die on July 6th 2009, but was granted a last minute stay of execution because of an 11th hour international appeal and campaign – his life still hangs in the balance. After this news went public, there has been huge outpouring of compassionate citizens from all over the world dedicated and united in saving Bruce's life. His fight has touched thousands and now we are reaching out to touch even more. Please take just a couple of hours to be there for this lively event with other compassionate people and say no to BSL and say yes to saving Bruce and many other dogs like him. Please visit http://www.meetup.com/NYC-Pitbull to learn more about the demonstration and campaign to save Bruce and BSL.
Thank you for all that you do to help animals! For all animals,
