Neighbor Relations & Public Outreach for TNR/Feral Cats

October 28, 2009, 2:41PM MT
By posted by Jennifer, NY Team Leader
Monday, November 9th.

Do you need to inform your community about feral cats? Are you dreading it? This workshop can teach you how to approach others about feral cats in your community, how to speak to people who approach you as a feral cat colony caretaker, and what resources are available to help educate our communities. You will also learn how to set up a public outreach table, how to make feral cats and TNR a relevant issue to those with community cats, and what materials are available to you to get the word out about TNR!

This workshop will be held:

Monday November 9, 2009
6:30-8:30 p.m.
ASPCA Midtown Office
520 Eighth Avenue (between 36th and 37th Streets), Manhattan
(please bring photo ID for admittance to building)

This class will be taught by Jesse Oldham, Senior Administrative Director, Community Outreach, ASPCA.

There is no fee to attend this class, but advance registration is required. Contact the NYC Feral Cat Initiative at events@NYCFeralCat.org, with "Neighbor Relations" in the subject line. Please include your full name, e-mail address, organization (if applicable), address, and phone number.
