100 Dogs Rescued from MO Puppy Mill

September 23, 2009, 12:5PM MT
Dogs ready for adoption October 8

More than 100 dogs have been rescued from an unlicensed dog breeder near Doolittle, Missouri.

Breeder Tim King has been under investigation for a year. In 2008 King  was asked to surrender all the dogs in his operation and pay a penalty for not having a state license.

The dogs were mostly small breeds including poodles, miniature pinschers and Yorkshire terriers. They'll be cared for at the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis  and will remain in their custody until a hearing on Oct. 8, at which point the dogs will be available for adoption.
