The Kentucky Equine Humane Center is holding a fund raising event, "Give Thanks & Give Back," Friday, Nov. 20, at 5:30 p.m. in the Round Barn at the Red Mile Racetrack, Lexington.
KyEHC, a 72 acre refuge and clearinghouse located just outside of Lexington, takes in horses of all breeds found abandoned, abused or surrendered by their owners and tries to find good adoptive homes for them. No horse is turned away.
To benefit "the horses that have graced our lives," KyEHC invites everyone to an evening of:
Bourbon tastings and cocktails
Dinner by Chef Matt Falcone
Live music
Holiday shopping
Lori Neagle, executive director of KyEHC, says, "We want everyone to come, bring items from our wish list and have a good time! If you don't know about the Equine Humane Center, this will be an excellent opportunity to learn about it. Plus, we'll have a store stocked with gift items for sale so you can do your holiday shopping at the same time."
The cover charge for admittance to the event is an item (or several) from the KyEHC wish list, which includes gift cards, horse and farm supplies as well as office supplies. This flyer provides a complete listing of all the Center's needed items.
RSVP to info@KyEHC.org or call 859-881-5849 with the number attending.
