Typhoon Ondoy has left The Philippine Animal Welfare Society in a scary spot, but you can help.
Right now, their shelter is undamaged, and they're offering it for animals who need a place to stay from this disaster.
However, some of their staff members and volunteers are stranded with their pets -- quite literally -- in high-up floors of apartment buildings, unable to get out. They need our well-wishes and prayers.
In addition, if you'd like to help their shelter take in furry flood evacuees and offer them safe places to stay, they could really use more cages, cat food and dog food. A lot of needy pets are coming through!
They could also use food and safe drinking water for the staff.

If you live far away, you can make a financial donation to help them buy the cages, food and water they need. A small amount goes a long ways there! You'll see that when you see the donation amount options on the page. So please, check that out: http://www.myayala.com/shop/products.asp?product_id=6420&merchant_code=PAWS04
And we'll all keep them in our thoughts and hearts!
