SHELTON NEEDS A LOVING HOME!!!!

Breed: Collie mix, perhaps with Lab

Approximate Age: 6 months

Approximate Weight: 30 lbs., estimated adult weight 40 lbs.

Currently Living at: DC area foster home.

Looking for a wonderful dog?  Then look no further.  This little sweetie is Shelton!  He was the victim of a terrible hoarding situation, but is now out of there, and looking for his forever home.  Shelton would love a family of his very own, to teach him that people are good, and to spoil him rotten!  Deserving dogs like Shelton should be the center of attention! 

Shelton is a loving young boy, who would be happy to go anywhere with his new family.  He will eagerly hop in the car and sit quietly in the back seat while you run errands.  Shelton is more than happy to follow you around the house and help with your chores.  He just loves to be with his people.  He gets really excited when you pick up his leash!  Shelton loves to go for walks, particularly if they bring him near piles of leaves.  He will happily dash through any available crunchy pile, so may not be much of a help with yard work:) 

Shelton is good on the leash, and is well mannered with dogs and people that he meets on walks.  He gets along great with other dogs and loves to play!  Shelton is a high energy pup, and would do best in an active home.  He'd make a great running partner.  He would love a home with another active dog to help him burn off some of that energy!  When playtime is over, Shelton is happy to curl up in your lap for as many belly rubs as you care to give.  He's great in the crate, and will patiently wait for you to let him out in the morning.

Shelton is a happy and affectionate pup, and would be a great addition for any family.  Could he be the one for you?

Like most puppies, Shelton will need to work on his housetraining.  He does his business as soon as he gets outside, and is crate trained.  Shelton will  need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
