Greetings Concerned Citizens Against Petland Supporters!!

BIG news to report -- on Sunday, June 21st, the doors to Petland in Cleveland Heights closed for good!! After 3+ years of demonstrations, leafleting, letters-to-the-editor, community mailing with puppy mill info, and even walking door-to-door to educate the community when the store first opened...it finally happened!

Although our hope was that Petland would do the humane thing and choose to stop selling dogs and supporting the puppy mill industry, apparently this wasn't something they would consider. The HSUS investigation and campaign against Petland definitely helped, but we're certain our efforts played a large role in getting people to boycott the store.

A huge THANK YOU to all the dedicated activists who supported our efforts and participated in the protests...through all weather extremes...to give a voice to the dogs suffering in the mills and educate the public about why they should always adopt rather than shop for a dog.
