  • Re: Starting a feral cat food bank - got any tips?

Those are great ideas, Deedoe! I unfortunately can't better them, but I can suggest networking with other BF Cats people via the net and getting things going at various places around the nation; the Network can be the central database, and maybe caregivers can communicate via twitter as to supply...

  • Starting a feral cat food bank - got any tips?

Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter in Pensacola, FL www.jury-duty.org We're going to be starting a food bank for the feral population. I'm looking for ideas or shared experiences. We already have a feral colony database (currenlty being revamped). Our food bank plan includes: donations food drives ...

  • Another adopted kitten!

I have more great news! A small black kitten (about 4 months old) that was believed to be dumped at the OC8 location has been spayed and adopted out. This all happened thanks to Lisae, one of our AZ Paws co-leads. Poor Lisae was losing sleep because she was so worried about the welfare of the kitten...

  • Re: found my original post about Sammy - need advice on how to get a frightened feral back "home"

Antonia, thanks for sharing your experience. I have housecats who are afraid of things like the bag of mulch - Oliver is afraid when he sees the garden hose outside (I think he thinks it's a snake or something). So it makes sense that anything unfamiliar or, worse, associated with a fright can alarm...

Thanks for these suggestions on using a wildlife camera, nic. It will be really helpful in getting set up. I have a lead on a possible loaner, although if I can find a reliable one on clearance or something I might buy one. I can't afford the hundreds of dollar ones, but I found some on sale for...
