I volunteer for a rescue group called Town Cats in San Jose, California, and we have been rescuing cats from a former State Mental Facility called Agnews. The facility has been shut down due to lack of state funds, and there are future plans to demolish the property. We have been trapping and neuter...
I am starting to think that all this cuteness helps heal some of the heartache. Paulie is feeling much better - he's back to running around, playing, nonstop kitten antics. ...and he enjoys chilling with Scruffy. ....and playing with Scruffy ...and letting Scruffy clean him
Paulie the kitten had a temperature of 104 yesterday. PAWS gave me some antibiotics for him, he's still eating, but lethargic. A lethargic kitten is a sad thing! Of course Nurse Scruffy is taking good care of Paulie. Click on picture above to view video or go to; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5...
Last night was our first night of trapping at the Cook County Jail. We were met by a chief and captain, along with two cat loving officers (who volunteered on their day off) that have been helping the cats over the past 20 years!! We were all given temporary id passes that said "YARDS ONLY"...

Last night we took Paul Berry trapping with us to the Kitten Warehouse. Miguel spotted this kitten and mom in the gangway....as he blocked one end of the gangway, I jumped the fence to block the other side (Paul got a picture of that)....then the kitten made it past Miguel and ran into another gangw...
