(I didn't read to the cats this week - we took Zane to the clinic - he's fine, chronic rhinitis and a possible infection - so Bobb took the opportunity to audition for a home).
This is Bobb. Bobb used to live in Vinnies, Room 2. Bobb used to be QUITE large, then he lost a LOT of weight, tested positive for diabetes, was thought to have mega colon (he doesn't), and was thought to be close to crossing the Rainbow Bridge.
That is when he came to live with Mark & I. Many, many, many months ago. Bobb has decided to switch categories - going from Hospice Cat to Foster Cat. The problem is, I told the Cat Department specifically that I did NOT want to Foster.
And Bobb deserves his OWN home - let me tell you about him. He's 9 years old, he is diabetic - but it's REALLY easy to treat, he gets 2 units of insulin subq twice a day, and eats DM cat food, wet and dry. He was VERY affectionate, on his own terms, and really enjoys the company of people. Loves being petted, has a little bitty tail (someone chopped it off years ago), and just likes being in the room with you - but has gotten in my lap lately, and sometimes sits with his head on my thigh like a pillow.
He has a deafening purr, loves to have me kiss the top of his head, loves looking out the window, loves his toys, loves his treats. He has NO teeth, so no dental bills to watch out for.
He also does NOT like being touched when he doesn't expect it, and would prefer not being around a lot of animals, though would probably do well with a couple. He has to smell you EVERY time you come in the room before you pet him.
He also has very specific taste in movies and TV. Seriously. He lives in our guest room, and it's the only room in the house with a TV. We have no TV hookup (my decision - I get addicted), so we do Netflix. Bobb does NOT like foreign movies. Anything that is not in English and has sub-titles, he goes under the sofa. Documentaries - he turns his back. However, he LOVES the GIlmore Girls, really liked Legally Blonde (both) and Mean Girls.
Bobb would really like his own people, and his own forever place. He's happy with us, but I would like more for him than we can offer. Please forward this to your friends, co-workers, post it in the office lunchroom, send it around to your Facebook friends - however you network.
It's not just that I want my guest room back, but he is a great cat, and I would love to see him in his furever home.
Any questions, comments, wanting to meet him - just let me know!
