PitBull Mix approximate ten months old
This little love bug is Amelia! Amelia was rescued from a foreclosed home after being left by her owners. They left her with 2 inches of green sludge in the pool for water and no food. Amelia was living at a house that did not have fencing and although she was free to roam the streets she stayed close to the house, I assume she was waiting for her owners to come back for her, they never did.
When I first heard of her and the horrible situation she was left in, I went to take her food and water. When I arrived at the home were she was abandoned, there she was sitting up against the house. As I opened the car door, she immediately came running to me her tail wagging so hard her whole body wagged and then she proceeded to kiss my face over and over!!
Amelia is one of the happiest dogs I have ever met.
Amelia loves all people and loves kids. There were many kids in the neighborhood where she lived that loved her, she also does well for car rides and yesterday she had a bath and did great, except her happy tail knocked over all the stuff on the counter. Amelia actually suffers from "Happy Tail" it is a medical condition. Her tail is so happy that it wags ALL THE TIME so the tip hits the walls or floors and can become sore and bleed. Amelia is just that happy.
In the short time we have had her she has learned to sit and shake paw! Amelia will be a blast to further train as she is very smart and eager to please.
Also Amelia appears to be housetrained and she is crate trained.
Amelia does not like cats, so she will need to be in a home without cats. Also, Amelia would prefer to be the only dog in the home, Amelia may be able to learn to have a friend if it was the right match and you had patience and willing to train Amelia.
If you have an open space in your heart and home and you would like a new addition that will be included in family activities and you would like to come home to a smile and wagging tail every day, please consider meeting Amelia.
Additionally, Amelia is in URGENT need of foster. Amelia is currently being boarded due to lack of help and foster. But I am quite sure she would rather be in a home while she is waiting for that "forever" home. Please consider helping this special deserving girl.
