Sylvester calls to Sal and Kermit whenever they walk by his room. Actually, it is more of a twitter.
Sal continues on his way and occasionally growls at Sylvester in response.
Kermit on the other hand shows more interest. He goes up and rubs his head against the outside of the enclosure and Sylvester rubs back. They turn and touch noses and Sylvester is happy to finally have feline interaction. It is short-lived however. Kermit suddenly scampers away to find Sal.
But one morning as I was sitting with Sylvester petting and brushing him, Kermit came up to the door.
“Oww.” he said as he rubbed his head against the door. Then he looked at me with those big sea green eyes and repeated it, “oww”.
“Do you want to come in Kermit?”
No time like the present, I thought to myself as I opened the door. Kermit walked right in and he and Sylvester went straight for each other and rubbed heads.
They continued to circle each other and then Kermit kissed Sylvester on his forehead.
I continued to pet them both and I think they liked the pets and more importantly each other…what do you think?
Dueling butt rubs – sure feels good!
I Like you!
What are you doing Dad?
