BF Feral Cat Program places at-risk kitties and more

Over 3,000 free roaming cats in Southern Utah are being well cared for thanks to the Best Friends Feral Cat Program. The program primarily works with local caregivers to get them the support they need. From spay/neuter to transport to cat food, the program works diligently to ensure that no community cat is in need. All the services are provided free to the volunteer caregiver and with even more local veterinarians signing up to be a part of the program, it’s never been easier to get the help you need if you care about feral cats in Utah.

As any feral cat caregiver can verify - not all the cats that are free roaming have read the feral manifesto and don’t fit into the profile. These are cats that have been dumped by their owners, runaways and friendly kittens that don’t have a fear of people and are considered readily adoptable pets. That’s where the Best Friends Feral Cat Program goes into overdrive to get these friendly faces into loving homes.

The latest kitty to find herself on the left of feral and ready for some one on one snuggling is Peach! Peach is a Persian-type, with a loving ‘tude despite being left behind when her owners moved. Poor Peach was even housed in a dog run before the Best Friends Feral Cat Program heard about her predicament. Luckily a foster home was available before even more indignities were bestowed on this precious girl.

”Who are you calling weird and wonderful? I’m peachy and perfect!

Peach is a wonderful housecat, with impeccable manners - she uses the litter box faithfully and she has a way with dogs. A slight neurological imbalance gives her a weird and wonderful walk. She’s a one of a kind!

Peach is waiting patiently for a family to call her own. She’s fine with other cats after a proper introduction, and would do best children over 10 years old. She looks so much like a stuffy toy, younger children might try to squeeze out her stuffing. She’s that cute!
