Where else but New Orleans can you find the love of your life, companionship and a good time – especially on Mardi Gras – 1700 Mardi Gras Boulevard to be exact.

The Louisiana SPCA, located at 1700 Mardi Gras Boulevard, is dedicated to caring for, sheltering and finding forever homes for homeless animals. That’s why Haydel’s Bakery has selected this deserving non-profit with a doggone lovable mission as their charitable organization of the year. The LA/SPCA will receive proceeds from the sale of Haydel’s Bakery’s trademarked Mardi Gras Bead Dog™.

New Orleans artist, Philip Weddle, created a rendering of the old time Mardi Gras Bead Dog™ jazzed up for the 21st century. Haydel’s Bakery now offers merchandise featuring the Mardi Gras Bead Dog™. Items include children & adult apparel, original artwork, and many other accessories. A full sized Mardi Gras Bead Dog™ greets customers entering Haydel’s retail location.

In the spirit of making a difference for an important cause, and celebrating a New Orleans tradition, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Mardi Gras Bead Dog™ merchandise will be donated to the LA/SPCA.

Also enter to win a FULL SIZE Mardi Gras Bead Dog™ (seen above). Raffle will be held on February 20th. Tickets available at the bakery for $5 a chance. 100% of the proceeds to go to the Louisiana SPCA.

For the animals of the LA/SPCA, Mardi Gras has taken on a whole new meaning – giving back and helping the best friends of all.

ADDITIONAL WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
