Saved from a life-threatening operation

By Barbara Silverman

Ernest, a 13-year resident of the RSPCA shelter in Godshill, on the Isle of Wight, suffers from entropion. This condition causes the eyelid to roll inwards impeding vision and causing inflammation .

Normally an operation would correct the problem but due to the age of the cat center manager Paula Sadler did not want to run the risk. Instead she chose to fit Ernest with a clear pair of contact lenses. These lenses prevents the eyelid from rubbing on the cornea giving him purr..fect vision with no pain or inflammation.

Barbara and Christy,

Do wonders truly never cease? Just astonishing--Ernest with his lenses.
