At 6:26 am Central time this morning, Cheryl received an email from Fundable saying the initial goal had been reached. She says:
I cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciate each and every one of you! The donations you have made are incredible and amazing! Thanks to each one of you, we will now be able to begin trapping, vetting and relocating these kitties into a safer environment to live out their lives in peace and harmony!
Make sure you print off your donation page for your taxes...and if you need a more formal tax donation receipt...please email me with your name, address and amount, and I will mail one to you!

Terry Lynn sent a separate note of thanks:
I would like to take this time to let each and everyone of you know how very grateful I am for our help. I have been going to the area each evening and feeding the cats. The babies have gotten to where they come up and eat right next to my feet. The adults come running when they see me pull up; they wait until I walk away but hey are not as scared as when I first started this effort. I am so happy that these cats will get a chance to live a safe life and not continue to breed. just knowing they will not be here, where their lives are in danger, is such a blessing. I thanl all of you very much for your help wth this and special thanks to CHERYL, for taking care of this for me, because when this began, I had not clue where to begin. Thanks again, Terry Lynn

Original Article
Burns Flat is a very small community in western Oklahoma. Terry Lynn Fisher, the local rescuer in Burns Flat, has asked Forever Friends Humane Society for help. FFHS has agreed and has developed a plan. FFHS and friends will trap, neuter and relocate all the cats to barn homes. The people who own the property where the cats are located want the cats gone.
FFHS has been offered a great deal with the VAW SPOT Clinic to spay/neuter/rabies each cat for $15. The prediction at this time, is that there are approximately 50 cats. So far, three barn homes have been lined up. More barn homes are needed, so let organizers know if you can help in that way. Any kitties that are tame will be run through the FFHS adoption program.
A link on Fundable has been set up for fundraising for this event.
