This past Saturday after administering internal anti parasite treatment to half of the dogs and all of the cats at Kimba, we began to empty out the part of the cat kennels that we have been using as a storage area, and then transferred all of the material to the new shed that we recently purchased specifically for this purpose.

Once everything is emptied out we hope to begin the necessary construction and renovation on the cat kennels.

Our new shed at Kimba will serve as a storage unit, and by doing so will free the other half of the cat kennels area. Presently we've been using it to store winter bedding for the aninals, pet transport carriers, etc.

This is the first step in being able to rescue more abandoned cats and find families for them. We still have to repair and improve this part that we've been using as a storage area, and we will begin the process when our finances permit. We will need to put in new doors, add a quarantine area for the new cats, as well as adding metal netting throughout the patio.

In addition to this project, we must also install as urgently as possible a septic tank for the residual waters to flow into through the newly constructed canalisation drainage system.

We hope to be able to make these improvemnets at our shelter soon with everybody's help.
