A Farewell to Our Little Dogs Jara and Petra
Last Monday, our dear little dog Jara left Kimba after spending many years in our shelter. She was adopted in Arta (Mallorca), where her family tells us that she arrived perfectly fine and is adapting very well to her new life and her new friends.

Shown is a photo of our lovely Jara saying good-bye to her friends from the shelter. Thanks to our great friend Martina and Herztier e.V.

Today we took our little galga Petra to Los Barrios, as she was not adapting well at Kimba because she had a hard time being around so many dogs.

This beautiful galga was roaming through the town of Conil along with a friend of hers who was poisoned. She will be in a foster home until she is adopted by her forever family.
Thanks to our friend Ana and SOS Galgos.
It Gives Us Great Pleasure to Continue Receiving and Sharing With You the News and Photos of Our Friends Who Have Been Adopted From Kimba
Mafalda, a pretty Bodeguera and one of the dogs we rescued in Paterna de Rivera. She, along with our little "Mandi," was thrown into a river of fecal water. Today she is living happily in France.

Little Chachi was born at our shelter and was adopted by a marvelous family from Cádiz who are very happy with her. We are including a copy of the most recent letter that we've received from the family.

***"Hello Friends at Refugio Kimba,
We are sending the latest photos of Chachi (Lilo), she is doing very well and has now been with us for nearly a year. We are thrilled to have her and she has completely changed our lives. She is a delight, and like a playful little girl. We are crazy about her, thank you.
She likes to get into her owner's bed after she leaves for work because she leaves it nice and warm, ha ha. She also likes to lie on the bed when the sun is shining on it in the afternoon. She likes the beach, she likes to run and jump, she even likes going to the veterinarian. She's terrific."***

Canuto, whose name is now "Coco", was found roaming through the streets of San Fernando (Cádiz) and came to Kimba through our waiting list.

He now lives stupendously in Bilbao with a family who loves him and who is very happy with their little boy.

Little Rocky is living marvelously in Germany.

His name is now "Lumpi" and his family tells us that they are very happy with him.

Our precious little puppy of a galgo "Gladiador" (now named Tizón) was found inside of a plastic bag in a rubbish skip (trash dumpster) on Avenida del Fontanal in Chiclana de la Frontera.

He arrived at Kimba dehydrated and in a lamentable physical state. Now the only after-effect left from his abuse is his little clipped tail. He is living marvelously with one of our associates in Granada.
This time we are sending you photos of our dear galgo "Kevin", whose name was changed to "Toffie" when he arrived in Switzerland in February of 2006.
(Kevin shown to the left)
Since that time they have been sending us photos and they tell us how wonderfully this ex-poor Spanish galgo is doing. In order to have his life saved, he had to leave his native land and travel thousands of kilometers away from his galguero.

Another little galga rescued from the clutches of an abusive galguero, and who now lives happily in Holland. As a keepsake from her country she only took two things with her; love from Kimba -- the shelter where she stayed, and her name. This sweetheart's name is España.
(España shown to the right)
For more than two years now she has been a happy galgo, and is being taken care of by an exemplary family.

Ringo is another little dog who was used for hunting. We sent him to Austria where he lives like any other member of the family, rather than like a killing tool, when once he no longer serves a purpose is discarded.

The two siblings Pedro and Esperanza are together again. It was very heartwarming for Kimba volunteers to see Pedro and Esperanza together again and happy, a brother and sister who have been reunited thanks to our wonderful Dutch friends from Dierenhulp Cádiz.
They had spent their whole lives at Kimba after being left at the front entrance to our shelter when they were just puppies. Now these two siblings have had the great fortune to be reunited again in the beautiful land of the tulips.
They spent nine years with us and two of their brothers, Ramon and Paco, are still with us. We hope that they too will have the same luck and that they will one day know what life is like with a family who loves them.
Lovely photos that our friends from Holland have sent us and that we send on to you so that you can enjoy seeing how well these two precious dogs from Kimba are now living. The two siblings napping; they've traded their Kimba blankets for a grand sofa (seen below).

Some lovely photos and the end of an admirable and gratifying job, achieved by people with an ability to do extraordinary work, without subsidies and with only voluntary help from good people who help us.
