Lisa, it must be really hard for you not to vote for a dog named Bear!

I do believe Dundee and Scruffy can take over first. As much as Bear's people are digging in, he's currently at 29.2% and Scruffy and Dundee are at 26.41% and steadily rising.

Question:

The shortcut has been working really well, but do you have to wait for the "vote" to register before you go back up top and hit "Rules" to begin the process again? Can you just click "Vote" and go immediately back up to "Rules"? I did this about 5 times in quick succession and it didn't look like the votes had registered.

The rules say, "Users can cast an unlimited amount of votes to choose their favorite Top Dog."

Network member "catblessed" has found a faster way to revote:

After you vote for Dundee, move your mouse cursor to the red bar that runs across the screen (right under the UDog and Friends logo). If you run your cursor over "Top Dog" (far left) a pull down menu comes down with 3 choices (Vote for top dog, rules, and submit your dog).

Chose "Rules" (leave your cursor there) and the rules page comes up. Cursor over Top Dog again to get the pull down menu again, but now chose "Vote for top dog." That will take you to the page to vote for Dundee. Scroll to the right and vote for Dundee. Don't need to wait for the page to completely refresh, just move your cursor back to the Top Dog bar and chose "rules" again. And repeat, and repeat, and repeat.

Summary of steps: Vote for Dundee, chose "rules," chose "Vote for Top Dog," vote for Dundee, chose "rules," chose "Vote for Tope Dog," etc.

You don't need to wait for a page to fully appear. As soon as you can get the pull down menu, just click away.

Vote for Dundee, chose "rules," chose "Vote for Top Dog," vote for Dundee!

I just voted a few times - noticed that between votes, the percentage only goes up 0.01%. So keep re-re-re-re-voting!!

It seems like it takes about 4 or 5 votes to raise it .01%. If it's less than that, someone else is voting for Dundee at the same time. If it takes more, then someone is voting for another high percentage dog. It just took about 14 votes to get Dundee up .01% because someone was voting for Harley.

No, Carrie, you don't really need the arrow sticky. It's just that I can do 2 or 3 other things (watch TV, open and read my mail, pet/brush my kitty) AND still vote 8 or 9 times a minute with the arrow. I can vote faster and not have to pay attention or accidentally vote for another dog (did that once, oops).

I think Bear's fan club is either the Fraternal Order of Police or the military. That's usually where purebred German Shepards who respond to English and German end up. That said, it's probably going to take some considerable effort from our fellow members to catch him and hold ground.

No, you don't have to wait to hit "Rules;" your votes still counts. I just looked at the percentages. Most likely the reason that you didn't see an increase in Dundee's percentage is that someone (actually lots of someones) is voting for Bear and Harley right now. That's the tricky thing with percentages; if you voted 5 times for Dundee and someone else voted 5 times for Bear, the percentage will not change.

Also, with the large number of votes, it now takes ALOT of votes to move the percentages.

Not to worry, with all of us on the network voting, I predict that Dundee and Scruffy will overtake Bear by the weekend. Go Dundee Boy!!!
