Shelter looking for people to make Snuggles for homeless cats

Anyone who has lived in Missouri the last few months knows just how terrible the rain and flooding has been. It has not only affected the lives of all the people living here, but the lives of our animal friends as well.
Many of us see the devastating pictures of shelters flooded and animals left homeless and wonder what we can do to help. Well, here is a chance to make a difference. Terri Archer, of Terri’s Rescue and Refuge Inc., in Cuba, Missouri is asking for our help. Her shelter has taken in many of the cats affected by the recent flooding and now they are in need of a particular type of supply. They need Snuggles, also known as security blankets for cats.
Rae French started the Snuggles Project in 1996 with a mission to give comfort to homeless cats. People from around the country crochet, knit, quilt, and sew blankets for shelter animals to allow them some warmth in what can be a frightening situation.
By creating a Snuggle and sending it to Terri’s shelter, you can help some of the animals affected by Missouri’s most recent flooding.
