To kick off the holidays, the Best Friends Network’s Southwest Region announces its first-ever Holiday Spirit Contest. All network members are eligible, and entering the contest is easy! You and your pet could win the “Best in Show” award and be featured in a special network-wide story.
We’re looking for the most festively decorated pet and/or pet surroundings. Remember how Snoopy decorated his doghouse in A Charlie Brown Christmas? How about Max, the Grinch’s dog, with his Santa hat and antlers? Simply send us a photo of your pet(s), with family or without, dressed in costume or in festive surroundings.
Photos will be posted in a special “Holiday Spirit Contest” forum on each community for our members to vote on. All members in the Southwest Region network communities (California, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah and Nevada) will have the opportunity to vote for a winner in each of their respective communities.
The overall “Best in Show” winner of the region will be determined by an impartial panel of judges. Winners will be announced on December 21, and featured in a story on the network.
How to Enter the Holiday Spirit Contest
(1) Take a photo of your pet(s) displaying holiday spirit
(2) Email the photo (JPEG or GIF format) to amieweb9@aim.com, with a few lines about your pet, his/her name(s) and any holiday traditions you have with your pets
(3) Check updates to your community’s Holiday Spirit Contest Forum and cast your vote by December 19
(4) Watch your network email-box and your community news page for updates. Winners will be contacted prior to the announcement and briefly interviewed for the feature story!
