"Discover the compassionate solution for feral cats and kittens that really works and can happen right in your own backyard. TNR (Trap Neuter Return) is the humane, non-lethal method of population control for feral cats and kittens that is more effective than the traditional method of trap and kill and is more reflective of a caring society.”
Alley Cat Allies

"A feral cat is an unsocialized cat. Either he was born outside and never lived with a human family, or he is a house cat that has strayed from home , and over time, has thrown off the effects of domestication and reverted to a wild state. Feral cats avoid human contact. Adult ferals are like wildlife. They usually cannot be socialized and are most content living outside."

For anyone outside Chicago who is interested in feral cat programs in the area, here are some websites to go to for northern Cook County, Lake County, and other collar county resources.

We desperately need Help in Richmond Virginia ! We have a big country club SPCA that does more for dogs & looking good to the media , another low cost S/N clinic is working 7 days a week and my group Operation Catnip only has a clinic once a month . Mean while we small ppl are over whelmed and stressed to the max :( The public wants to help but does not have the money .
