Earlier today, the 247 dogs that were seized from a puppy mill in Upshur County on September 26 were awarded to the SPCA of Texas. After enduring horrible conditions, these lucky pups are now being given a new chance at a life of happiness, instead of forced breeding. Click here to read the original story.
As the dogs’ conditions improve, they will be made available for adoption to the public beginning on Saturday, October 13. They will be at the following locations:
• SPCA of Texas at 362 S. Industrial Blvd. in Dallas
• SPCA of Texas at 8411 Stacy Rd./FM 720 in McKinney
• Offsite SPCA adoption locations, see their calendar for details.
This was the SPCA of Texas’ second rescue of puppy mill dogs in only a three week period. They were awarded the animals from the other seizure as well, and between the two confiscations, have taken in 353 animals.
