PAHRUMP, NV—It’s been six weeks since Nye County Animal Control turned to Best Friends to help out the distressed cats at FLOCK (For the Love of Cats and Kittens), a nonprofit organization located on a two-acre spread in the desert outside Pahrump.
But the job is far from done. The original estimate of 400 cats has continued to climb and is now near 600. The need for volunteer assistance is growing as well. Here are some current needs:
Posting Flyers for Kitty Super Adoption in Las Vegas
A Super Adoption for 100+ cats will be held on September 8 at the PetSmart in Summerlin (Las Vegas). Volunteers are needed to flood the city with flyers as soon as possible.
Cat Care in Pahrump
Lots of help is needed. Volunteers are being scheduled from now through October. Even if you only have a day to offer, you can make a difference.
If you can help, contact Volunteer Coordinator Ellen Gilmore by e-mail at elleng@bestfriends.org or all her at 307-630-0914.
