Jeff Van Denbussche (Click the button to the left to sponsor Jeff) and his wife and two kitties, Sandi and Boots currently live in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey not far from Atlantic City. This will be his first Chicago Marathon but his 18th marathon in total. In addition to running marathons he also enjoys gardening, going to the beach and dining out.
Jeff and his wife are avid animal lovers and are regular donors to Best Friends as well as several other animal welfare organizations. They have both volunteered at their local cat shelter and even worked with Alley Cat Allies to TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) a colony of feral cats under the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
Jeff's training currently consists of running about 40-50 miles per week. And although his kitties, Sandi and Boots have not poved to be willing running partners they do their part by helping Jeff to wake at 5:30AM so he has time to fit his run in before work.
Training Tips for Other Marathon Runners:
Be consistent and dedicated but also listen to your body.
Congrats Jeff and we look forward to watching you cross the finish line for the 18th time at the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on October 7!
