Here is Josman's story:
"I have lived in Cincinnati, OH for the past 7 years but I’m originally from Queretaro , Mexico (Click button to sponsor Josman). While I’m not training for the marathon, I work as a Communication Manager for Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, I coach several Club and High School volleyball teams, I play volleyball and I’m also an Academic Advisor for athletes at Xavier University .
This will be my first marathon ever. I have run half marathons before and other races but I’m thrilled to finally face the granddaddy of all them: The Marathon in the Windy City ! Racing for a cause makes you feel even more committed to your training.
While looking for a cause I found BF among several other many race causes. I realized that since I love animals, but I haven’t been able to do as much for them as I should so far, this would be a great way to help out. I live with 2 other housemates close to my university and we are not allowed to have pets so right now I only have my best buddy Tony Soprano (the coolest teddy bear hamster ever!). (Also nicknamed, "the Beast of the Night" because he is always hungry at night!)
My training is coming along hard. You have to cover so many miles all the time. I had some problems with my right knee at the beginning but after two weeks of intensive flexibility sessions, I’m back on track.
My advice for other runners is this: always stretch before and after running or you’ll pay the price later! ;-)"
