MJ Higgins Gallery at 244 South Main Street in downtown LA is hosting an Art Gallery Benefit running January 20th - February 10th.

MJ Higgins Gallery at 244 South Main Street in downtown LA is hosting an Art Gallery Benefit running January 20th - February 10th.

MJ Higgins is one of the best-known and beautiful art galleries in downtown Los Angeles. The show will open at 7 PM on January 20th and will run until 10 PM. This will be followed by an afterparty downstairs at the club in the Higgins Gallery.

Best Friends Artist in Residence Cyrus Mejia (pictured) will be the featured artist. Several other prominent downtown artists will also be represented.

A percentage of the proceeds with benefit Best Friends Animal Society.

M.J. Higgins
M. J. Higgins is a unique addition to the Gallery Row District located in Historic Downtown Core of Los Angeles. Open in November of 2004, their purpose is to provide the community with a compelling alternative to the typical art gallery or furnishings store. By combining beautiful and accessable fine art, functional art and eco-friendly furnishings from Los Angeles based artists and craftspeople, they offer a rare “one of a kind” place to shop. The main floor is the gallery, the lower floor has an Art Nouveau/Asian inspired lounge & stage area.

This event sounds wonderful. Unfortunately I live in Florida so it would be a bit of a stretch to get there. Can any of the works being displayed during the charity event be ordered on line or over the phone?
