United Animal Nations (UAN) and the Waco Humane Society are offering a workshop on Saturday, June 27 for people who want to help animal victims of fires, floods, tornadoes and other disasters. Limited space available.

The workshops will prepare people to volunteer with United Animal Nations’ Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS), which shelters, reunites and relocates animals displaced by disasters in the United States and Canada. EARS volunteers assist in a variety of roles during “activated” emergency response, to include providing care, shelter, operations, recovery and comfort to animal disaster victims until they can be reunited with their families or placed in new homes. EARS volunteers also help educate community pet owners on the importance of including pets in their family emergency planning.

6901 Medical Parkway (at Hwy. 6 & Sanger)
