Do you love the animals? Do you enjoy talking about the plight of homeless animals and the importance of kindness to all living things?
Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you outgoing? Do you have a positive approach to life, a ready smile, and a winning personality?
Then you should be a Best Friends Ambassador!
What, exactly, is an Ambassador?
Best Friends Ambassadors are a grassroots team of Network members who support the outreach and effectiveness of the Best Friends Network in working towards the goal of No More Homeless Pets through community outreach, education and fund-raising.
They sow the seeds of kindness to all living things and spread the message that together we can create a better world through kindness to animals.
Most often, Ambassadors represent Best Friends at community events by hosting a booth stocked with educational literature about Best Friends Animal Society, the Sanctuary, the Network, and important topics such as spay-neuter, homeless cats, dog safety, puppy mill awareness, the pet adoption option, and how kids can make a difference in the kindness revolution.
Sometimes they sell t-shirts, hats, and a variety of other logo items. They collect donations and sign up interested folks who would like to receive more information about Best Friends.
They also make presentations, participate in rallies, organize fund-raisers, or develop social networks that make a positive impact and inspire others to get involved and take action toward helping the animals in their own communities.
The Ambassador calendar currently shows our upcoming events, and we continue to add more every week. Many of these events are initiated by members of our Ambassador team as they are in an excellent position to be aware of the important happenings in their communities. We’re starting to build a team structure led by team leaders in every state
Being an Ambassador is an enjoyable way that our volunteers share their passion for animals and the work we do to help create a better world for them and for us. It’s also a way to have fun and make new like-minded friends.
Not only is being an Ambassador fun, but it’s also extremely important work. With sincere enthusiasm and a positive attitude, we can reach people with the message of No More Homeless Pets. By reaching people, we save lives and change the world.
