My name is Nora and I live in Salt Lake City, UT. I recently adopted two special needs kittens from Colony Cats in Columbus, OH. My daughter, Lori, volunteers for Colony Cats and contacted me when these babies came in. They were about 8 to 9 weeks old at the time and obviously littermates. The little girl, who I named Smokey, has a twisted front leg. Both are polydactyl having 6 toes on each foot. She is able to do anything any kitten can. Her brother,Tuffy, is much more limited. All four legs are twisted with some missing bone in his hind legs.

The amazing effort that went into saving these babies speaks well of Ohio. They were found tossed out in a junkyard. They were vetted and Tuffy was exrayed and saw a specialist. They were tested for feleuk and FIV, spayed and neutered, and given two series of shots. Then transport was arranged to get them to me. I got them June 6. What a delight they are!

I wish there were words to express what heroes I feel each of those who worked so hard for these babies are. They are sweet and playful, Tuffy can hold his own on the floor, and have really brought joy to our home. Thank you all who did so much so these special babies could live.
