Many of the animals who arrive at the Best Friends Sanctuary come from heartbreaking situations. However, staff is on hand to help them overcome their past adversities, in essence beginning their lives anew, in hope that they one day will be adopted into loving homes.
This Friday’s episode of DogTown will highlight three such dogs
• Zambi,: A black lab mix with a massive growth in her mouth requires a grueling 8-hour surgery and vets hope to give this dog a new chance at life.
• Casey : A beagle mix whose hyper temperament has kept him from being adopted for the last five years trains for an agility exhibition in the hopes of attracting potential adoptive families.
• Bingo: A painfully shy shepherd mix requires both time and incredible patience to socialize.
“A Fresh Start” is scheduled to air this Friday, May 15 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern on the National Geographic channel.
