Tara Beres, director at Safe Haven Center in Midwest City has volunteered to assist with displaced pets. She has been informed that the Midwest City Animal Shelter is full. She has opened her humane society to take in any lost/found pets displaced by the fires. Safe Haven is also a economical boarding facility for those displaced families looking for pet boarding.

Midwest City has a reciprocal agreement with Oklahoma City Animal Welfare, as does other Oklahoma municipalities, but many resources may be stretched in the upcoming days if the wildfires continue in other areas of the state.
Theresa Monnard from Rocky Spot Rescue in Newcastle has also volunteered housing. Theresa can be contacted at 405-699-7358, rsrdals@yahoo.com and dals@rockyspot.org.
