RSPCA Risk Their Lives

You know that animal welfare officials are dedicated people when they abseil down a 250-foot cliff to save stranded sheep.
It all started when the sheep, grazing at the top of the Bosigran Cliff, near Zennor Cornwall, somehow fell off the edge.
After landing part of the way down the cliff they then managed to make their way to the foot, where they were at the mercy of both wind and the waves.
People passing by, who had witnessed the event, immediately contacted emergency services.
Since the cliff cannot be reached by boat a specialized rescue team of the RSPCA were called in.
Unfortunately, the sheep did have to deal with one uncomfortable night on the bottom of the cliff. But as soon as the sun rose the next morning the rescue got under way.
The three-member rescue team abseiled down the side of the cliff. After sedating the sheep, two were put in harnesses and one in a rescue bag.
Then with each of them holding a sheep under their arms the team abseiled back up the steep cliff to the top.
A truly dedicated, well trained, group of men and women, who will do everything to help an animal in distress.
